Numbers 1:16-18

^16 (A)These were ^(B)chosen^[a] from the congregation, leaders of their fathers’ tribes, ^(C)heads of the divisions in Israel.

¹⁷ Then Moses and Aaron took these men who had been ^[b]mentioned ^(D)by name, ¹⁸ and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they recited their ^(E)ancestry by families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, each one individually.
